Remote Control
Continual technical evolution has brought about an increase in the complexity of the various broadcast systems along with a reduction of engineering staff in many organizations.
Thus the request for control and monitoring systems has considerably increased. Electrosys proudly presents its industry-leading Supervisory System (ESS).
The ESS with its windows based software enables a very sophisticated, user-friendly control and management of a single transmitter to a whole network of transmitters. The ESS can be applied to any Electrosys' transmitter as well as to transmitters from other manufacturers. The open system architecture allows tailoring the system to the customer’s specific requirements as well as modifying or expanding its features in the future. The ESS enhances the ease of transmitter maintenance by identifying the location and number of faults, providing maintenance date and time information, and allowing long-term trend analysis. The software directed ESS provides information from the entire transmitter by gathering data and parameters from each major subassembly.
The system’s Acquisition/Control logic interfaces, which acquire the normalized values from the signal conditioning interfaces of the transmitter’s major subassemblies and the logic of the exciter, forward their data to the G232 serial line Multiplexer. Data from subassemblies that have no signal conditioning interface can be gathered through the G034, which normalizes the values and forwards them to the G232.
From there the information is communicated to the control centre PC through a standard switched telephone line or GSM mobile phone connection. Alternatively, the information from the G232 can be communicated first to a local PC (PC-based Version) and from there to the control centre PC. The PC software elaborates the values and visualizes the resulting data and parameters in a simple and intuitive graphical user interface. For each data three color-labeled threshold levels are displayed - normal functioning, warning, alarm. The software organizes the data/alarms in databases for further reading and evaluation. From the PC the following remote commands can be carried out: transmitter ON/Reset; transmitter OFF; and setting of digital parameters of digital exciters.
